End-of-Year Opportunity and Project Update
The Board of Directors at Shining Light Children’s Home is excited to share that the Staff Training Center Project is underway. We started the process of raising funds to purchase land and build a much-needed, onsite training facility to better equip our staff members. The training center will be used to adequately train and prepare our staff in two primary areas: Spanish education and TBRI Training (Trust Based Relational Intervention). Not only will the training center provide classroom/meeting space for these courses, but also housing for the instructors. Building this facility seems like a sizeable financial commitment initially, but it will save funds for Shining Light by eliminating the need for off-site travel and training expenses. While this is our immediate goal, we also have a vision for future ministry opportunities using this facility.
As the year closes, we are reaching out to you, our sponsors, supporters, and prayer warriors, to share an opportunity to partner with us as we continue fundraising efforts for the Shining Light Staff Training Center. Our fundraising goal is $205,000 to cover the funds needed to purchase the property and build the facility. We presently have $46,356 in donations and a commitment of matching funds once we reach $50,000. This means we still need to raise $108,644 for this project.
