BRINGING CHILDREN IN TECATE, MEXICO

THE LIGHT OF LIFE.

BOY'S HOME PROJECT

Currently, we are in the process of building an all new Boy's home.  We have felt the need for some time to separate the living quarters for the young boys.  We believe this effort will advance the vision we have of providing a better family environment for the boys.  We are looking to raise around $90,000 to complete this home.  We hope that you will see a need in your heart to partner with us and help contribute towards this exciting new venture.

Read more on page 3 of this quarter's newsletter about the boy's home project!

A Caregiver’s Loss

Below is a poem by one of our former caregivers, expressing the loss that comes with leaving. We would like to give recognition to all the former caregivers who have felt God lead them on a different path. The pain of leaving behind vulnerable children affects both the caregiver and the child. We thank each…

Greetings in Jesus’ name our Savior, who makes us overcomers. I am Uryas Apuy, from Costa Rica. Seven years ago I came to Shining Light to work as a caregiver of boys ages 10-12. Now I’m married to Leanna and we have two baby girls, Ashlynn and Astrid. We also have four boys in our…
