HOW IT WORKS

We cannot take care of these children without the financial help of our supporters.  There are multiple ways you can participate and make a difference in these children's lives.  One-time donations of any amount are always welcome and greatly appreciated.  There are also different ways you can give on a monthly basis if you would like to participate on an ongoing basis.  If you want to give on a regular basis, you can choose the area you would like to support.  You will receive a tax receipt for any donations given.

Provide for the needs of one child with your monthly donation. Your financial gift will fund day-to-day living expenses for one of our children at Shining Light Children's Home.

PODS

Our children live in pods (groups) with two caretakers for each pod.  Your monthly pod sponsorship provides funds needed for both the caretakers and the children. A pod typically includes between four and eight children.

Education is an important part of our program. Your monthly teacher sponsorship will provide for expenses associated with one of our teachers at Shining Light.

STAFF

Support staff is necessary to run a successful organization.  Although these staff members do not directly take care of children, they are a critical part of our program. Your staff sponsorship helps fund these important positions.

Providing these children with an education and the supplies they need to learn is at the top of our priorities.  Your monthly school sponsorship will help cover these expenses at Shining Light.

SPECIAL PROJECTS

We are in need of a dedicated, onsite training center to better prepare the incoming Shining Light staff for effective service. This center will offer Spanish courses and TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention) training. This facility will also have the ability to house the course facilitators and incoming staff in training. To bring this vision to life, we need a total of $205,000. Presently we have $50,000 in matching funds available which means we need to raise $155,000 in donations.
