A Bountiful Harvest

We are very thankful for the bountiful harvest that God is giving us this year. While the majority of the garden has been planted in corn, we also have cucumbers, green tomatoes (for salsas), red tomatoes, beans, and melons planted. Many vegetables are enjoyed fresh from the garden while the surplus is prepared and frozen for the winter months.

Oftentimes, we struggle in this area to produce a bountiful garden. Some years, the water supply is so limited that we are unable to even plant a garden. However, the abundance of rain over the winter has created an ample water supply. We give thanks to our Creator for providing the blessing of the water and the crops.

We are also grateful for all of the staff and children who put many hours of hard work into making it possible for us to enjoy fresh produce from the garden.

"Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.  God shall bless us, and all the ends of the earth shall fear him."

Psalm 67:5-7
