Jesus Loves the Little Children

Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: And when he is old, he will not depart from it.”  Shining Light Children’s Home does their best to live by this verse. We desire to be a safe place for children who have been through trauma, abuse, and other heartbreaking experiences. We teach the Word of God and help these children understand who God is.

It is our prayer that they will take it to heart and accept Him into their lives. We hope they will remember and hold on to God’s promises no matter where life takes them, whether staying at Shining Light or returning to the world they knew before.

We appreciate your prayers as we do this work and ask that you specifically pray for guidance as we navigate unfamiliar situations and circumstances.  We seek the Lord’s direction to help us know how to best handle these occurrences so we can nurture the children and guide them in a way that honors Him. God loves these children more than we ever could and we want to do the best we can to make sure they know about Him and His love for them.
